The Rakesh Aggarwal Memorial National Law Debate Competition – 2018 is organized by Ideal Institute of Management and Technology & School of Law every year in the memory of late Sh. Rakesh Aggarwal, visionary and founder member of  IIMT & School of Law . In continuation of the legacy set up by Late Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, this Law Debate is being organized with a purpose to spread the maximum legal awareness among the law students and the exposure to the current legal issues in the country. This competition will surely enhance the research and communication skills of the students on legal issues. BITS Pilani’s Waves, British Parliamentary Debate

Contention ’18 is a British Parliamentary Debating Tournament organized by BITS PILANI Goa. This year, the tournament will be held between the 26th and the 28th of October. Institutional contingents must follow the n-1 rule, i.e at least (n-1) adjudicators must be sent for n teams participating. The fee is 2400/- per person inclusive of accommodation. Interested teams can apply to the DebSoc mail according tot he allotment rules by 30th September 2018 12:00 am.

JINDAL PD, SONIPAT

The 6th Edition of the Jindal IV i.e Parliamentary Debate competition will be held from the 13th-15th October at OP Jindal University, Sonipat, Haryana.  The event is being organised on 13th to 15th October, 2018.  The Registration Fee for the event is Rs. 2200/-. (This is inclusive of the Tournament Fee, Accommodation on 13th and 14th October, and Breakfast and High Tea on 13th and 14 October.) For institutional teams: For each institutional contingent we will be  following the N+1 policy for the tournament, where for N slots, N number of adjudicators should be A level. RTI CLUB UTTRAKHAND

The RTI club of UTTARAKHAND is organising a conventional debate competition on the topic ‘Is RTI an effective tool to combat corruption ‘. The competition will be held at two levels- 1. Intra University level 2. Inter University level The winners of the Intra University level competition will be allowed to compete in the second level of the competition. Total 6 people will be competing in second level who clear the preliminary level. The participants can speak in both languages i.e. English or Hindi. The dates of Intra University Competition is tentative between 17th September to 6th October and the Inter University competition is scheduled on 12th October, 18.  Interested speakers can apply with their intra scores by 15th September 12:00 am.
