The Debating Society of The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, in collaboration with the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, and the Centre for Sports Law, is delighted to officially invite you to the 5th edition of the NUALS Parliamentary Debate, scheduled for February 22-24, 2019.

Provisional registration for the tournament is now OPEN!
The NUALS Parliamentary Debate 2019 would mainly feature motions and topics in relation with Competition Law and Policy and Sports Law, as well as other general topics.
Both, the Centre for Competition Law and Policy, and the Centre for Sports Law have been a pillar of strength for the organising committee, dedicating themselves to the success of this edition of the NUALS PD. The previous edition of our PD has featured collaborations between the NUALS Debating Society, and the Centre for Competition Law and Policy. This year, being joined by the Centre for Sports Law, we have received immeasurable support, and they will strive alongside us to ensure that you have a great debate.

· Dates of the Tournament: February 22-24, 2019
· Venue: National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi, Kerala, India
· Format: British Parliamentary
· Nature: InterVarsity (Institutional cross teams are allowed)
· Team Cap: 32 teams, with n+1 rule for adjudicators, preferred, first come first serve
· Institutional Cap: 4 teams
· Registration Fee Per Person: ₹2000 (With Accommodation) or ₹1500 (Without Accommodation)
· Independent Adjudicators are allowed
· Last Date for Provisional Registration: January 27, 2019
Registration of teams will commence from January 30, 2019, upon which the registering teams will have to pay the registration amount.
The prize money for the tournament is well in excess of INR One Lakh. And, our Adjudication Core comprises some of the best in India, like Sarangan Rajeshkumar - NLSIU Alumnus.
He has been the core adjudicator for the MV Kamath Memorial National Debate Tournament and has Finalist at several British Parliamentary debates such as NALSAR IV (2016) and ILS PD (2017).
