  The Blacklist policy from The Debating Society, School of Law, UPES, is our way of maintaining discipline in members and participants by way of punitive action against students violating our policies. There are several violations that can lead to blacklisting, subject to the core committee's discretion at the very end of the procedure, including, but not limited to: 1. Participation in Nationals without the clear consent of the concerned authorities in DebSoc. 2. Backing out of a competition (including Novice, Intra and Nationals) as a participant or a volunteer without clearing it with DebSoc first. 3. Indecent (characterised as insensitive or inapproriate) or laid back (characterised as uninterested or slacking) behaviour on the part of an OC member, participant or volunteer.  These violations can lead to an action against a student where a panel consisting of the higher-authority members of the committee will decide whether the student can participate in future competitio...

BACKGROUND: Law Dexter is a student-driven forum that provides opportunities to every young budding mind of the legal fraternity to come forward and share their imaginative and creative legal thoughts and broadcast their skill in legal writing. The competition aims to enhance the oratory and debating skills of participants and take away experience, expertise and excellence. AGENDA: Same-Sex Marriage should be legally recognized. FORMAT: - Conventional Debate in a team of two members.  - Each team shall have in TOTAL 8 MINUTES to speak (each speaker shall speak for at least a 3 minutes).  - 2 extra minutes will be allotted for the rebuttal.
